Does Laptop Memory hold to own same size memory for respectively slot?

I be told that when upgrading memory, you have to buy impossible to tell apart size for each slot. In other words you can't enjoy a 512mb in one slot and a 1024 surrounded by the other slot if there are merely 2 slots available. Is this true?

Answer:

Every computer manufacturer seem to have it's own special requirements for memory sticks. Some require both sticks to be compatible. Some allow sticks to be mixed and in any proclaim. Others say the largest stick must shift in slot one, subsequent largest in slot two, etc.

I'd suggest you step to a website like crucial.com or kahlon.com and use their advisor tool or configurator. Plug surrounded by your computer specs and they'll tell you everything you requirement to know. Once you have that info you can shop around for the best prices.

Unless here is some kind of impede to your particular memory slots (check your manual) I own never heard that. Most computers own a maximum total memory for both slots together.
