Well - my wife works for Dell and I enjoy found that I can get better prices by watching the specials - both on-line and contained by the Sunday ads.
walk to www.hot-deals.com or fatwallet.com. They have coupons for dell almost every other week. Once in a while, the stash are alot.

negotiate on the phone till you achieve the best deals. Even it take 2 days but make sure in that is chance of progress. Also near are special discounts for students, schools, govt workers and I don't know if any of that applies to you.
