Connecting two laptops?

i hold 2 laptops. one with xp, while the other is vista. how can i connect this two computer bcoz i want to verbs a file which 3GB surrounded by size. please hlp me?!!

if they both have wi-fi, after create an 'ad hoc' network, and see file sharing. be sure to delete this net as it can cause a surety problem later when you are traveling (it will hope out other 'ad hoc' networks by default) and that's not good.

what you would have need of to do is run the network nouns wizard on the vista and it will show you step by step
If both laptop got RJ-45 connector, can use the cross over cable.

1) Connect to cable

2) Configure the IP address on LAN Setting.

3) Disable the firewall setting.

4) Shared the profile you want to copy

5) Serach the file from My see places.

*make both laptops in same workgroup(Easily to search)

6) Copy and plaste.
