Computer nouns with the sole purpose works when I own phone?

I own an IMB Think Pad Laptop and Windows XP. I just get this speaker cube thing that you plug into laptops and ipods and stuff. Well I purely took the cube out and there is no nouns now. The volume is turned up adjectives the way and I don't know what to do. Only post an answer if you know what I stipulation to do to fix it, don't post one telling me to call upon customer support.

if u're speaker cube come with a disc try installing the sound card drivers again ....it might own got corrupt somehow..
